Nobody wants to be known as the option B and everybody knows that quality and trust are what makes you an option A to your clients and partners.  "Quality. We hear that word a lot in the translation industry. It’s a hot topic at networking events and a key phrase on translation forums", write Charlotte Fellows, marketing assistant. But how do you achieve continuous quality?   The Globalization & Localization Association (GALA) listed “**7 Steps to Achieve Quality in Translation**”: 1. Request from the client: a deadline, source and target language, word count, source and target file type, CAT Tool, relevant terminology, accessible mode of contact and flexibility 2. Knowing all the needs your client has, check if you’re the right person for the job, if not please communicate with your client why not - transparency is key. 3. If yes, become fully acquainted with the project - know the target audience and the context as well as the message intended 4. Plan your translation method based on the field of the translation 5. Create a detailed, client-specific termbase/glossary. This is specially important for long term and regular customers 6. Run a quality assurance (QA) check for errors, duplicates, and missing content. 7.
